The Role

The Financial Enterprise Data Products team is seeking a Software Engineer with excellent computer science and programming fundamentals, the ability to appreciate and create abstraction, a strong problem-solving facility, and the desire to work closely within a team. We work with a wide variety of different technologies - C++, C, Perl, Python, Berkeley DB, SQLite, Oracle - whatever it takes to get the job done.

Qualifications

* Minimum 3+ years C++ development experience in a UNIX environment is essential, as is exposure to the full software development life cycle

* A team player with a can-do attitude

* Excellent communication skills

* Problem solver with a curiosity to learn and understand systems beyond those responsible for

* Experience with multi-threaded programming

* Understanding of the STL and object-oriented design

Other desirable skills

* Experience with scripting languages such as Perl/Python

* Relational database experience

* Financial industry experience

* Experience with UNIX tools and shell scripting

* Working knowledge of development tools such as debuggers/Purify/Quantify
