JOB DESCRIPTION

Equity Derivatives Technology provides IT development and support for the Equity Derivatives business. Equity Derivatives covers a variety of business lines, including Arbitrage, Volatility, Exotics, Fund Linked derivative and Convertible Bond trading. Trading desks are currently in London, New York and Hong Kong with Sales in offices worldwide.

Equity Derivatives is a vibrant and exciting business which is undergoing spectacular growth in terms of trading volumes, global coverage, the breadth of product coverage and the revenue it generates for the firm. It is a relatively young business area in the company and has grown up in close partnership with IT.

Equity Derivatives Technology currently has 300+ staff across New York, London, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Main Duties

We're seeking a talented & motivated strong developer with a delivery record to work in a dynamic front office team developing a global platform for managing all the curves (soft market data – volatility surfaces, dividends, yield curves etc.) required by EDG for pricing, risk and P&L computation.

This is a demanding role, in a fast paced environment. A successful candidate should be willing to work in a globally distributed agile team that is working on building the next generation of front office systems and should have strong analytical and problem solving skills

Basic Qualifications

 

Bachelors Degree

5 years + core Java

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

 

Solid knowledge of core server side Java.
Solid understanding of multi-threaded programming, time series analysis tools & techniques.
Working knowledge of coherence.
Strong Unix shell scripting.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Knowledge of equity derivatives is nice to have.
