JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Purpose:
Senior Java developer to join our global fixed income electronic trading team in New York City office.
The team is responsible for connectivity to external ECNs for low-latency electronic trading and inventory distribution.
The candidate must work effectively within a global team to rapidly implement solutions and deliver production quality applications which are highly supportable and maintainable.

Key Accountabilities:
• Architect, design and implement components providing contribution, trading and post-trade services to markets such as Bloomberg, MarketAxess and TradeWeb
• Produce high quality code which is functional and maintainable
• Talk to the business sponsors to help gather requirements
• Participate in the development process for gathering requirements, implementing and releasing applications
• Impart knowledge and benefit of experience to other members of the team
• Work and collaborate as part of a global development team on a global architecture
• Be responsible for timely delivery of software in a high pressure environment
• Assist the first line support team in supporting the eCommerce suite of applications

Technical
• Core Server Side Java
• Real-time messaging and Market Data (RV, RMDS)
• Multithreaded development
• Market Data Expertise
• Test Driven Development (JUnit, TestNG)
• Linux (shell scripting, debugging, command line tools)
• Relational Database Development  (Oracle, Sybase)
• Fixed Income market-facing protocols
• Knowledge of Fixed Income business
• Knowledge of Electronic Trading applications
• Java GUI experience
